L4M3 Revision Notes

L4M3 is titled 'Commercial Contracting'. It is a 90-minute multiple-choice exam, with 60 questions. The pass mark is 70%.

The links to my notes are split by the chapters:

  1. Chapter 1: This covers things like the various documents in a contract, the key legal conditions and different contract types.
  2. Chapter 2: This covers specifications and KPIs.
  3. Chapter 3: This covers the main terms in a contract, and different types of pricing strategies.

CIPS' recommended reading for Level 4 is Lysons and Farrington's Procurement and Supply Chain Management. It is an exhaustive textbook across all Level 4 Modules and beyond.

About Me

I live in the UK, and started work in Consulting in 2023. I have a keen interest in the public sector, particularly in large-scale investments and procurements. My experiences to date have spanned Central Government and Defence procurements. I started CIPS at the end of 2024, passing L4M1 in November 2024. I have chosen to self-study and am finding this to be a great and affordable option. Please do reach out at procurementcipshelp@gmail.com with any questions!
